To say 2020 has been an unusual year is an understatement. By the end of the first quarter we had launched Oodles wokSlough just as the country was going into lockdown due to Covid-19.
As many fellow businesses were closing temporarily and placing staff on furlough we saw an increase in appetite for food to be delivered home from our 13 branches.
As soon as the announcement was made that food establishments may open we ensured our branches maximised every opportunity possible to trade. We worked with Franchisees to ensure they capitalised on our own delivery platforms as well as third party platforms like Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
We have witnessed an increase in demand for Indo Chinese food as customers look for something different to eat and tantalise their taste buds. Traditionally where Oodles wokChinese attracted customers with a Halal diet we are now finding a mainstream, diverse customer base seeking us out.
We have traded very strongly over this uncertain period and continued our planned growth as a business, by opening a further ten branches this year, proving that we remain the fastest growing food brand in the UK

Despite lockdown conditions, customers have been flocking in for the 50% off deals on collection orders during launch nights. We’ve had such a phenomenal response that we have had to close of the queues early in order to ensure all paid customers got served in a timely manner.
As they year draws to an end, we look forward to the branches planned to launch in 2021 which will be kick started with Oodles wokLoughborough on 8th January.
